Is Cold brew cacao good for you?
Cold-brewed cacao is becoming popular due to its nutty and mildly chocolaty flavor. It contains antioxidants and minerals such as magnesium and iron. Like caffeinated drinks, it also provides a potential energy boost due to the presence of theo-bromine in cacao. It may have a positive impact on your mood.
You can make cold brew cocoa from either the cacao nibs and whole cacao beans. However, most people prefer cacao nibs for this process, as handling the shells of cacao beans is a hassle. Secondly, the brew made from whole cacao beans is much bitterer than that made from cacao nibs only.
How can you use cacao nibs to create interesting brews?
You can also make the cold brew cacao with milk of your choice instead of water. You can also add coffee for a flavorful twist. Some people prefer adding various flavorings such as nutmeg, cinnamon, or maple syrup.
Some people add cacao nibs to the coffee grounds to make a cold brew mocha. Cacao nibs are bitter and possess a chocolaty flavor without any sweetness. Therefore it is difficult to drink cold brew cacao without adding sugar, syrup, or other sweeteners. Adding vanilla beans, cinnamon sticks, or grated nutmeg will let you enjoy unique flavored cold brew cacao.

Cacao contains 41 mg of caffeine in every three tablespoons of cacao nibs. A similar quantity of brewed coffee has 85 – 135 mg of caffeine.
Is cacao and cocoa the same thing?
Cacao are the unroasted beans, while cocoa is the beans that have been roasted. Cacao is, therefore, a raw bean that is negligibly processed and does not contains unnecessary additives. Raw cacao adds dietary fiber, magnesium, and antioxidants when added to a drink. For the maximum benefits, choose organic raw cacao.
How to make clear raspberry juice?
The easiest way to make raspberry juice is to cook raspberries with water till they become tender. In this way, it becomes easier to separate the flesh from the seeds. Then you can mash the cooked raspberries and pass the pulp through a filter. Avoid squeezing the raspberries, as it will make the juice cloudy.
If you want a very clear juice, strain the juice with the help of a coffee filter. Ideally, the clear juice does not contain the particles of seeds, skin, or pulp as they make it cloudy. For making juice in greater quantities, you will need a mechanical or electric strainer.
