What is real Bourbon?

Bourbon is one of America’s favorite spirits, originating from Bourbon County in Kentucky. To be called a Bourbon, it must be made in the United States and must contain 51% of its contents from corns. It must be aged in new oak barrels.

You may find two types of Bourbon whiskey:

  • Straight bourbon that has been aged for more than two years, and it comes purely without the addition of any coloring or flavoring.
  • Blended bourbon must contain 51% of straight bourbon. The remaining percentage may be made from different spirits and flavorings.

What is the right way of enjoying a bourbon?

Are you a beginner? Here is the right way of enjoying bourbon. Before you bring the glass closer to your mouth, deeply observe the beautiful color of bourbon and enjoy its aroma. Don’t gulp down your bourbon quickly; instead, roll it around in the mouth with the help of your tongue. Indulge yourself in the unique flavors that can be fruity, spicy, and earthy at the same time.

What is the benefit of infusing bourbon in a whipped cream dispenser?

Using a whipped cream dispenser to produce infused bourbon is the fastest and most efficient method. It requires only 1 to 5 minutes to infuse liquids. But it may vary and take up to an hour for some more intense infusions. In short, the whipped cream dispenser is a lifesaver when you require to infuse your bourbon immediately. Whereas the traditional method of infusion will take up to several days or even a few weeks incomplete.

How are liquids infused in the whipped cream dispenser?

This technique of infusing liquids in a whipped cream dispenser was introduced to the culinary world by Dave Arnold of the French Culinary Institute. This technique is called “Rapid Nitrous Infusion.” In this method, the high pressure inside a whipped cream dispenser forces the liquid into the solids, and the flavors in the solid are extracted in the liquid. When you release the pressure, this liquid comes outback from the solids, with its intense flavors.

Whipped cream dispensers use N2O, the Nitrous oxide gas that is called laughing gas. The nitrous oxide gas disperses away quickly from the whipped cream dispenser as soon as you release the pressure and leave any off-flavor behind.
